What’s a better treat this time of year than anything made with juicy, red and yellow apples? Apple crisp, apple pie, apple butter–we love it all. And for something super simple you can make within the hour, we’ve got the perfect recipe for baked maple apples so good you won’t miss the ice cream.

What You’ll Need:
• 6 large seasonal Apples (we used golden and red delicious)
• ½ cup light brown sugar
• 1/3 cup apple cider or juice
• 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
• Apple pie spice to taste

What You’ll Need to Do:
Let’s first preheat the oven to 375° so it’s up to temp when our apples are ready. Cut and core golden or red delicious apples into quarters, and line them in a baking dish greased with non-stick cooking spray. Pour 1/3 of a cup of apple cider or juice over the apples, coat with a ½ cup of brown sugar, and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes, and remove from the oven.

Using pure maple syrup, pour 1/3 of a cup over the top of the apples, sprinkle with apple pie spice, and allow to cool. Add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, and you’ve got yourself an irresistible autumnal treat!
